FORMER Super Eagles midfield maestro, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has been signed by Indian club Durgapur. Also on board is Samson Siasia who will be the coach of the team. Okocha will earn 550, 000 dollars (about N88.8m), while Siasia will take home 210,000 dollars (N33.9m).

Team Nigerian officials were jolted yesterday with the official release of the Medals Table of the on-going 10th All Africa Games in Maputo, Mozambique which saw South Africa in pole position with 20 gold medals while Nigeria with one gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals occupy the 8th position in the 17-Nation Games.

Sports Minister, Alhaji Yussuf Suleiman bared his fangs yesterday on some coaches of Team Nigeria for their ineptitude that has seen some athletes lose medals that ordinarily they would have won.
