Inter denies Capello interest

INTER Milan has denied that it approached England’s manager, Fabio Capello, to become its next coach.

The Italian giant is looking for a new tactician should Leonardo leave the club this summer to accept a sporting director’s role at Paris St Germain. Reports in Italy claimed that Capello was among the candidates for the Inter hotseat.
“I can confirm that Inter has not contacted Fabio Capello or the English FA,” Inter Milan’s Sporting Director, Marco Branca, said. “We are not interested in Capello. There are still no developments on the coaching front.”
Capello’s contract with England expires after next year’s European Championship and the Italian has always claimed that he would see out his deal.
