Ouattara won the presidential elections held on Nov. 28, 2010, but the incumbent president Laurent Gbagbo refused to hand over to him.
Gbagbo held on to power for five months, attracting wide international criticism and an open confrontation between loyalists of the two sides which led to  the death of more than 3, 000 people.
NAN gathered that the French soldiers and the UN military peace keepers would be providing security at the ceremony alongside the Republican force and the Ivorian police.
