African youths to form quarter of world population by 2025, says Zuma.

The Chairperson of the AU Commission, Dr Nkosazana Zuma, has said that the population of youths on the continent will be a quarter of the global population by the year 2025.

IFC village phone programme empowers women in Africai

The International Finance Corporation, IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, yesterday disclosed  that its Village Phone programme has provided credit to nearly 6,000 women and trained close to 10,000 to set up phone service businesses in Madagascar, Malawi and Nigeria, increasing the economic participation of women in some of Africa’s most rural communities.

Mandela admitted in a Johannesburg hospital

South African icon Nelson Mandela was on Wednesday admitted at the Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg for what his foundation called “routine tests”.
